A bit about my journey into cloud architecture — and why I do what I do.
My Story
I'm Ghouse Mohammed, a Senior Cloud Solution Architect based in Dubai, UAE, with over 14 years of experience spanning IT infrastructure, web hosting, and enterprise cloud platforms. My career began in web development and hosting — configuring WordPress sites, managing domains, and handling the unglamorous but essential work of keeping websites online — before evolving into large-scale enterprise cloud architecture.
Over the years I've led cloud teams managing 500+ servers, migrated hundreds of workloads across VMware, Hyper-V, Azure, OCI and GCP, and built the automation and governance frameworks (Terraform, CI/CD, FinOps dashboards) that let businesses run cloud infrastructure with confidence rather than firefighting.
What drives me today is the intersection of deep technical craft and clear communication — architecting resilient systems, then writing and speaking about the lessons learned so other engineers and architects can benefit too.

A journey from web hosting fundamentals to enterprise multi-cloud architecture.
Leading a cloud team managing 500+ servers across Azure, OCI & GCP; migrated 300+ servers to the cloud, ran DR drills achieving 5-min RPO / 1-hour RTO, and drove monthly cost optimization for leadership.
Managed a 12-member delivery team, implemented Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines, and led VMware/Hyper-V to Azure migrations via Azure Migrate, Corent & ASR.
Architected Azure hosting solutions for enterprise clients, deployed Azure Kubernetes Service, and supported pre-sales for large hosting & infrastructure bids.
